Fundraising Strategy + Master Plan Support

Thanks to overwhelming community support, the City of Ketchum raised over $9M to purchase the beloved Warm Springs Preserve – 65 acres of open space for the community to enjoy in perpetuity.

Priorities for the Preserve include off-leash dog access, creek and habitat restoration, new water-conscious irrigation system, walking trails, informal gatherings and activities, Nordic ski and snowshoe trails, and public restrooms. Development, organized sports and reserved private or commercial events would be restricted.

Bridgercare is one of the largest non-profit family planning clinics in Montana. Their fees are based on patient income and are assessed according to ability to pay. They always accept new patients, and no one is denied services due to inability to pay.

Teton Raptor Center

Wilson, WY
November 2019 – February 2020

Provide major gift fundraising consulting services and philanthropy training to staff, board and volunteers to implement the $10 million Capital Campaign to update the TRC facility and historic preservation of the Hardeman Barn. 

Teton Raptor Center began in 1991 when two field biologists working in Grand Teton National Park began caring for injured raptors out of their home. Now they care for over 130 injured birds per year at their full equipped rehabilitation facility, and have expanded their mission to include education and research programs.

Climate Emergency Fund

Provide major gift fundraising consulting services and philanthropy training to staff, board and volunteers to implement a $5 million fundraising goal for 2020.

CEF was formed at the intersection of philanthropy and climate activism to focus funding on radical action as opposed to incremental change. They fund the most impactful climate activists working to disrupt the status quo, inspire others to do the same and force policy-makers to take action.

Teton Valley Aquatics

Conducted a Campaign Assessment to consider readiness for an $11.5 million campaign to build an Aquatic Center in Teton Valley, Idaho. We also provide continued support to broadening and strengthening the Philanthropy Capacity for Teton Valley Aquatics.

Teton Valley Aquatics’ mission is to build a healthier community through the power of water. They have a dream of year-round water access for the Teton Valley community.

Central Wyoming College

Jackson, WY
March 2016 – August 2018

Through Pathfinder Philanthropy Advisors, the team led and supported the development of a Culture of Philanthropy for CWC – Jackson to create an organizational structure to raise $8 million over the next 5 years to build a new facility and to provide major maintenance reserve and operating funds for the new campus. This included conducting a Planning Study in 2016. 

Central Wyoming College's Jackson Outreach Center serves the needs of the local community by offering affordable, quality education. Students can take classes to upgrade job skills, train for technical careers, prepare for a bachelor's degree or take non-credit classes that enrich life.

Maine Recovery Fund

Portland, Maine
October 2016 – August 2020

Pathfinder Philanthropy Advisor Principal, Elaine Carney is Co-Founder and President of the Maine Recovery Fund. In conjunction with Elaine and PPA, we facilitated the major gift program for this organization working to dignify supportive employment and to provide wraparound services for people in recovery from substance use disorder, re-entering from jail and prison and for returning veterans facing re-entry obstacles. 

Maine Recovery Fund works to dignify supportive employment and to provide integrative services for people in recovery from substance use disorder, re-entering from jail and prison, for returning veterans and new Americans. These particular groups face overwhelming obstacles in their efforts to re-enter both the workforce and society in general. Maine Recovery Fund provides the clothing, tools, and training needed for their jobs, as well as rides to and from work, access to sober living, and help accessing essential services such as healthcare. Maine Recovery Fund is the first organization in the US focused on ensuring recovery success through job placement and wraparound services support.

Education Foundation of Teton Valley

Provide major gift fundraising consulting services and philanthropy training to staff, board and volunteers

State funding only covers the minimum of basic needs, leaving the Teton Valley community to generously support Supplemental Levies to cover other needs  such as: full day kindergarten, art classes for K-5, elementary music programs, elementary library programs, higher wages for teacher, paraprofessionals to assist our skeletal crew of teachers, district staff such as a curriculum director and winter sports. The Education Foundation of Teton Valley fills the gaps and takes education to higher levels through innovative programming and additional funding support
